http://www.ballewsaw.com/VENDORS/Olson/band_saw_blades.aspx

I just wanted to share this link. Ballew Saw and Tool in Springfield Missouri is where I purchased my General Drum Sander, my shaper, my floor 6 x48, and a Jet Spindle sander, great prices.

Today I just needed an Olson blade that I use and my Ace store was out of stock. They've raised the price from 10.79 to 13.00plus at Ace. So a search revealed Ballew had it for 9 bucks, now that's a good price, just wanted to share the link if you need the Olson blade.

This is the Olson general purpose 93 1/2" 6TPI Skip Tooth Raker .025 inch. 1/4" wide. Just a great little blade paired with the Delta 14. I cut out backs and side profiles and saw four inch necks out of solid mahogany, and it doesn't bat an eye. Most of the time I get months of service from a single blade.

I like the no-nonsense price of Ballew too, I get my drum sanding paper from them too.

U R Welcome. I just like the performance, it's hard to believe how much cutting you get from a single blade. Once in a rare while a blade might break and have an untimely death, but mostly they are sooooo dependable and I just lucked into the right tooth pattern without all the hullabaloo finding one that did the job. I think I've tried most every brand on my Laguna, but I'm resawing with the best there too now.

Are you happy with the Jet spindle sander? This one's on my list of possibles, I'm trying to decide which one to buy.

I've used that same blade for quite some time on my 14" saw too. It holds up well EXCEPT when sawing particle board. I use the same 1/4" blade to saw out my forms which are made of 4 glued up layers of 3/4" particle board. I can After sawing out one form the blade is toast. I'm just glad that I don't have to cut forms very often ;)

Not many blades like particle board.

Paul B. The Spindle sander is one of the least used tools I've ever purchased for luthing. I thought it would be great inside forms but it really isn't needed. It is probably more effective for an electric guitar than an acoustic.

Buy some little drum sanding devices for your drill press to get close in what it will do. Ten bucks.
